Thanksgiving Celebration

When I was living in Santa Monica in November I had a dream, I was at Thanksgiving party surrounded by friends. The party was colorful with good food, wine, beer, mixed-drinks, and good friends, it was the afternoon and oddly that day it felt like a renaissance festival. People at the party were playing this song. I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote the melody down and went back to bed. Several months later Tim Ponzek came to visit on a music-writing trip. When Tim played the melody and I explained to him what I’d envisioned for the song, it was magical, all the other parts were written and recorded within a couple of hours.

Over the last forty years I’ve written Christmas and holiday related music. This year I’m finally getting around to releasing some of my holiday season compositions. Thanksgiving has always been a special time for me and I’ve been very blessed to share it with family and friends over the years.
