Snowflake (2005 Version)
The Snowflake song and video invites you on a cold winter's day in the snow. The song displays winter scenes from all over the world intertwined with family and friends. Snowflake was originally recorded in the winter of 1986 for the Soft Wave album released by Narada Records. In 2005 this version was recorded at Krizman’s Farm, with a small jazz combo featuring me on soprano sax and the late Mack Dougherty on guitar, Baba Elefante on bass guitar and Sandro Feliciano on drums. Rick Krizman played piano and is my co-author on the song. In 2014 Mack Dougherty passed on, so to honor this jazz guitar pioneer (North Texas, Berkley School of Music, Jaco Pastorious, Sinatra, Godspell.) This version of Snowflake is dedicated to Mack and his awesome performance.
The Snowflake Video features the late Curt LaFurney’s accomplished video and editing skills. His producing and editing sensitivity, brings you to a day in the snow. Featuring special footage from the Mount Baker Washington area, captivating snow and mountain majestic scenes, skiing, and people enjoying the snow, friends and loved ones from all over the world.
